INFORMATION RETRIEVAL 

This training session offers a comprehensive guide to finding, accessing, and managing scholarly information to enhance academic research efficiency. Participants will learn how to:

• Navigate academic databases, library catalogues, and digital repositories effectively.
• Develop advanced search strategies using keywords, subject headings, and Boolean operators.
• Evaluate the credibility, relevance, and quality of scholarly sources.
• Access subscription-based resources and open-access materials.
• Organise and manage references using citation management tools.
• Stay current with developments in their field through alerts, RSS feeds, and academic networking platforms.

By the end of the session, attendees will have the skills to streamline their research process, save time, and improve the quality of their academic outputs.
