Jackey is a biological control researcher working to manage invasive species - a major threat to ecosystems, biodiversity and livelihoods.

“I’m excited about science communication because I get to not only reach fellow scientists, but the general public as a whole, after all they are the main target for the research that we do,” he says.

He now moves on to the FameLab SA semi-finals, where he’ll represent Rhodes 欧洲杯足球网_外围买球app推荐-投注|官网 and share his story with audiences across the country. The young scientist will also have the opportunity to represent South Africa at the international final.
